While the most recent announcement by the Victorian Government included the easing of many restrictions for Victorians, as we are an Allied Health Care Facility, face masks are still required on our premises.
Are you, or do you know, a dancer who is about to begin the next stage of their ballet training and transition to pointé?
Has your teacher asked you to obtain a pointé assessment before getting the green light?
Beginning pointé repertoire is an exciting time in a dancers career; however, with this excitement comes an increase in risk of overuse injuries such as tendinopathies, ankle impingements and bone stress injuries.
This flavoured filled salad does not underdeliver. Even the biggest meat eaters will be pleasantly satisfied!
Serve alongside your preferred choice of protein or enjoy as is. A serving of this contains a healthy dose of energy boosting carbs, plant-based protein, and anti-inflammatory fats.
And more importantly, it’s an easy way to boost your daily vegetable intake. This is a great lunch meal so be sure to make a big batch and enjoy those leftovers.
Exercise + Rehabilitation at Alphington Sports Medicine Clinic
Not been to our clinic before, or not for a while / since our redevelopment?
Here’s a quick look at our extensively equipped Exercise + Rehabilitation Area – established to provide a focused approach to exercise and rehabilitation.
We’ve recently added two new pieces of equipment to our Exercise + Rehabilitation Area – The ForceFrame and the NordBoard.
Our Physiotherapists can use these to test the upper and lower body strength of a patient – including hip, knee, shoulder, ankle, hamstring and neck muscle groups.
Both combine advanced sensors and provide real-time results and analytics for testing muscle strength and imbalance.
These crispy, chewy parcels of salmon will be a guaranteed crowd favourite at your next summer gathering.
You can even cook the salmon the day before to save yourself time. For leftovers, simply reheat in the oven, or better yet, pop them into the air-fryer for 5 minutes and they’ll crisp right back up!
All patients are required to wear a mask (unless they have an exemption) on our premises – including in Exercise Classes. The type of mask required is dependent on their vaccination level:
Single vaccinated and unvaccinated will be given a P2 to wear while in the building.

New COVID Guidelines will be in place at Alphington Sports Medicine Exercise + Rehabilitation, from Friday 22 October 2021, to provide an environment where the risks of exposure to COVID-19 is managed to the best of our ability.
These Guidelines are for the safety of all on our premises (patients, practitioners, staff, and visitors), and to keep our business open to provide medical services to the public.
Great news – all our services will be back up and running by the end of the week!

With the 2021 AFL season now complete, we chatted with Alphington Sports Medicine Clinic Podiatrist Emma Poynton about her involvement with the Western Bulldogs Football Club.
How and when did you become involved with the Bulldogs?
I first became involved with the Western Bulldogs at the end of 2014 in preparation for the 2015 AFL season. Then in 2016, when the AFL established an AFLW program, I joined the club’s medical team who also care for the AFLW football department.
