Are you part of a club, organisation or group that needs members to become qualified Sports Trainers?
We can help!
We offer Accredited Sports Trainer courses plus Additional Education sessions for ongoing professional development.
All courses are presented by qualified and experienced Physiotherapists.
If you are part of the Northern Football Netball League (NFNL) see the 2024 dates below.

Please note there are minimum numbers required for additional or individual courses to be presented:
Sports Trainer Course - minimum of 8 people, maximum of 16.
Additional Education Sessions - minimum of 8 people, maximum is topic & venue dependant.
Sports Trainers Course – Level 1 (AFL Accredited)
Pre-requisite: Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
NFNL and AFL requirement for trainers (junior and senior), unless the individual is a Qualified Medical Professional (QMP).
8hr course. BYO lunch. Morning & Afternoon Tea provided.
$275 (Inc. GST). Min 8 - Max 16 participants.
DATES:
9am - 5pm Sunday 24 March
6 - 10pm Monday 8 &1 5 April (you must attend both sessions)
9am - 5pm Sunday 5 May
6 - 10pm Monday 13 & 20 May (you must attend both sessions)
Additional Education Sessions for Sports Trainers
Expand your injury management knowledge and skills in specific areas.
Pre-requisite: Current Sports Trainers certificate.
2hr course. $38.50 (Inc. GST). Min 8 participants.
Groin & Hamstring Injuries
Lecture + practical (taping).
7-9pm Wednesday 29 May.
Ankle Injuries
Lecture + practical (taping).
7-9pm Wednesday 5 June.
Sports Trainer Course – Level 2
NFNL recommendation (not requirement) for all club/team trainers.
We plan to offer this course later in 2024 - dates TBC
Locations:
Sunday Sports Trainer Courses will be held at Alphington Sports Medicine - 339 Heidelberg Road, Northcote.
Monday night split Sports Trainer Courses, and all Additional Education sessions, will be held at the La Trobe Sports Stadium - Sports Drive, Bundoora.

Note: If you do not bring proof of or have not yet completed these pre-requisites you can still attend a Sports Trainer course, but we cannot issue your certificate until these have been cited.
