In line with the State Government’s most recent announcement on the easing of COVID restrictions, the following changes will come into effect at our Clinic from tomorrow morning (Friday 11 June):
It’s not fun and it NEVER lasts. Rather than thinking about what you need to eliminate from your diet, think about what you can INCLUDE.
Increasing fruit and veg intake is associated with a number of positive health outcomes include weight loss, enhanced immunity, and improved mental state.
In accordance with the Victorian Government's most recent announcement on the return to mandatory mask wearing in all indoor settings – As of 6pm tonight, Tuesday 25 May, all patients are required to wear a mask when on our premises. In line with the recent easing of COVID restrictions by the Victorian Government, it is no longer mandatory for patients to wear a mask on our premises. But we do still encourage their use when physical distancing is not possible (e.g. during consultations).

So, it’s back to business as (COVID) normal with masks required on premises**.
Alphington Sports Medicine Clinic's Managing Director Dr Gaylene McKay is no stranger to the rigorous demands of professional basketball – she played over 300 games in the WNBL and has been a team Physiotherapist since the early 1990’s when she retired.
She returned from the WNBL hub late last year and we had a quick chat about her time in Queensland with the Melbourne Boomers.
It was obviously a unique (and unprecedented) set up for the WNBL season – what impact did hub life have on the players, club staff, and yourself?
In line with the State Government’s announcement of a 5-day lockdown and return to Stage 4 restrictions, the following changes have been put in place at Alphington Sports Medicine Exercise + Rehabilitation.
All our services are now conveniently located under one roof in our newly renovated building at 339 Heidelberg Road, Northcote.
The extended and rejuvenated building includes: 13 physio consulting booths, 5 medical consulting rooms, a large integrated exercise area, lift access to upstairs, increased parking, and much more.
We’ve appreciated your patience and understanding throughout the process and we hope you enjoy the larger and more modern facilities.

All practitioners continue to wear surgical grade masks, and gloves will be worn when clinically appropriate. All reception and administration staff continue to wear surgical grade masks also.
