26 May Update: Online group exercise classes have ceased in preparation for the return of our regular classes at Alphington Exercise + Rehabilitation Centre. We will recommence on-site classes when permitted by the Victorian Government - at this stage the planned easing of restrictions means that will be in late June.
You can stay up to date with any further changes via this site and our Social Media channels.

As our regular Group Exercise Classes have been suspended due to the current Coronvirus (COVDI-19) situation, we've introduced Online (mat based) Group Exercise Classes.

Classes will be conducted by one of our experienced exercise Physiotherapists via Zoom, are 30 minutes long and only cost $15.

While what’s involved will obviously differ from what was included in our on-site Group Exercise Classes, exercises will vary from class to class (with different levels of each exercise) to make sure the session meets the needs of multiple fitness/skill levels of participants.

Each class will be full body-focused, consisting mostly or floor-based exercises but will include some standing exercise as well.

So even in a virtual environment we can still make sure you’re moving well, and help you to stay fit and healthy!

We encourage people to have the following items available for classes:

  • some TheraBands (resistance bands). If they don’t have any, they can purchase some from the Clinic (phone 9482 5211) or from sports/fitness stores.
  • some small weights. Alternatively, items from around the home can be used (e.g. full water bottles, canned goods etc).

Initially we are offering 4 sessions a week:

  • Mondays 9.00am
  • Tuesdays 8.00am
  • Wednesdays 8.00am
  • Saturdays 9.00am

We will look to expend this further as demand increases.

Simply phone us on 9482 5211 to make a booking.

You will receive an email prior to the session with a link to access Zoom, so please ensure you provide your email address when booking.

Payments will need to be made by phone. Our reception staff will call you back after the class to arrange this and a receipt will be emailed to you.

Please note:

  • A minimum of 2 participants is required for a class to proceed.
  • Classes will be capped at 6 participants to ensure the Physio can vary the class to meed the needs of those involved.
  • Packages / multi-class passes are not available for online sessions.

If you need more personalised assistance there are still options available.

You can book an appointment (face-to-face or Telehealth) with one of our Physiotherapist to develop an individualised home-based exercise program.

Alternatively, you can have one-on-one sessions with a Physiotherapist in our Exercise + Rehabilitation Area where the physical distancing rules can be adhered to and equipment can be sanitised before and after use.

Phone 9482 5211 if you have any questions or would like to make an appointment.
