Dr. Matt Chamberlain has been over at Comm Games as part of a successful campaign in the pool with the Australian Swimming Team. They arrived in Glasgow ready to go via Manchester for a week and settled well into the athletes village....all 59 athletes (nearly 100 when you include staff and coaches!). There was a reception for the entire Australian team with the usual dignitatries, including Alexander Downer (High Commisioner to UK) and the Australian Minister for Sport. Matt tells us that the village was reasonably well laid out and the Australian team of approximately 620 took up a sizeable portion of it!
